Wonersh and Shamley Green Church of England Primary School

A Learning Adventure with Kindness

  1. All about us
  2. Our church links

Church Links

Our school has close links with our two local parish communities. Both vicars come into school fortnightly to take assemblies. Children visit the churches as part of RE lessons and our Harvest, Remembrance, Christmas and Easter services are held at one of the churches.

Foundation governors from the two parishes also support our school and members of the churches help our school in very many ways. Look out for Church Parish magazines delivered in the villages.

Can you name the churches below?  Click on the pictures to take a better look.

PARISH OF SHAMLEY GREEN

Christ Church at the top of Church Hill as you head out of Shamley Green towards Cranleigh.

The parish includes Stroud Common and most of Rowly.

The Vicar is The Revd. Sally Davies. Sally visits school regularly and shares leading school assemblies with her colleague, David Peters. Sally also enjoys hosting visits by the children to Christ Church throughout the year.

You can contact Sally by email: vicar@shamleygreen.church

We welcome all families to join us for our regular Sunday services and especially to our festivals. We also invite all children and accompanying grownups to our “messy church” service held once a month on Saturday afternoons – for crafts, games, songs, bible stories and refreshments.
