School lottery - Star Draw

Enter the WSG Star Draw!

WSG STAR DRAW information, terms and conditions:

 The WSG STAR DRAW is a lottery, which costs £5 per entry, per month to be in with the chance to win a guaranteed cash prize! 


 £5 per month; that’s less than 20p per day!! But if we can get 50 entries each month then that would generate £1500 in a year for our school!


 Just £5 per entry, but you can enter as many times as you like!  We want to get everyone involved, so spread the word to Grandparents, Uncles, Aunties, Godparents and friends.  If we have 100 entries per month then we would raise £3000 per year for our school! 

 The more entries we have, the more money we make and all proceeds will directly benefit the children at our beautiful village school.  The draw will provide a vital fund to help towards paying for the repairs and maintenance of the school buildings and for all the other expenditure that the school budget cannot cover.


How to join in:

 If you are aged 16 or over then complete the entry form available to download HERE which includes a standing order mandate.  A single entry costs £5 per month.

 There is no limit to the number of times you can enter; simply multiply £5 by the number of entries you wish to have and put the total on the form.

 Return your completed entry form to the school office, by hand or by post to:

Mechanics of the draw

 Each entry will then be assigned a number, which will be entered into subsequent draws providing payment is received by the required deadline each month.

 Payment must be received on or before the 15th of the month to be included in that month’s draw.

 The draw will be made on or after the 16th day of the month (or in the first week of the following month if a school holiday falls at that time and the November draw may be made at the Christmas Fair). The draw will be made in public, at school events, in the playground at school pick up time, or in another public place.

 The winning number(s) will be selected randomly in the presence of at least 2 of the 3 members of The Star Draw committee plus one independent monitor.

 The winner(s) will be notified by email after the draw and will receive their prize as a cheque that can be paid into any U.K. bank account.  The draw participants will be e-mailed with the identity of the winner.

Cheques must be cashed within 3 months of the date of the draw after which time any unclaimed prizes will be treated as a donation to the school.



 The Prizes – will depend upon the number of participants as outlined below.

By entering the draw the participants in the draw agree that:


  • They are aged 16 or over;
  • They will abide by the results of each Draw;
  • That entries will not be included if the subscription is not paid;
  • That the Draw is not responsible for any failure in the banking system that leads to subscriptions failing to be received into The Draw account;
  • That subscription payments will not be refunded in the event that there are less than 10 players;
  • That subscription payments will not be refunded after the draw for which they are paid, for any reason;
  • That they will keep their contact details, including e-mail and postal addresses, up to date, in order to receive all communications relating to The Draw;
  • These terms and conditions may be amended at any time, but substantial amendments will be communicated by e-mail to all participants.


By entering the Star Draw, it is assumed that we have your consent to hold the following personal data:

  • Your name.
  • Your postal address.
  • Your email address.

This information is held solely for the purpose of running the Star Draw, and is not used for any other reason.

Should you leave the Star Draw, this personal information will be deleted.


The WSG Star Draw is covered by Waverley Licencing Authority, licence number 2016/75.
